The "Thunderbolt" was the official publication of the Millville Army Air Field. Premiering in the spring of 1944, the "Thunderbolt" offered both a camp newspaper to the soldiers, and a window to the Millville Army Air Field to the people of the local communities. It's "Five Star Final" issue was in October 1945, immediately before closure of the base.
The "Thunderbolt" was resurrected as the official newsletter of the Millville Army Air Field Museum in 1989 by Michael Stowe and Bill Force. They put it together until 1991, when Donna Vertolli took over as editor. Donna's graphic arts abilities and resources quickly brought our "Thunderbolt" equal to the high standards of its predecessor. She continues to be editor today.
